A Co-Counsel is an external legal professional, such as an outside attorney or a specialized expert, that you bring into a specific matter to work alongside you. They only get controlled access to the documents, tasks, and information you choose to share, giving you complete control over what they can view or do inside the case.
Firms often bring in a co-counsel for added expertise, jurisdiction-specific requirements, or simply to help manage workload. This setup makes collaboration much easier for both attorneys, while still keeping your client’s information safe and confidential. You maintain full oversight, ensuring the work stays smooth, secure, and aligned with professional standards.
Navigate to the Matters section.
Open the matter you want to share.
Click on the Share button in the top-right corner.
